The health and safety of our children and staff must continue to be our primary concern.
Those tasked with this major decision to open schools must not only meet the conditions of the waiver but must have contingency plans in place for if and when a student or staff member tests positive. While children need to return to an environment that is physically and emotionally healthy those in power must make decisions based on fact and not emotions. Wise leadership is needed now more than ever before.
La salud y seguridad de nuestros niños y el personal deben seguir siendo nuestra principal preocupación. Aquellos encargados de esta importante decisión de abrir escuelas no solo deben cumplir con las condiciones de la exención, sino que deben tener planes de contingencia establecidos para si un estudiante o miembro del personal da positivo. Si bien los niños necesitan regresar a un entorno que sea física y emocionalmente saludable, los que están en el poder deben tomar decisiones basadas en hechos y no en emociones. Se necesita un liderazgo sabio ahora más que nunca.
